Handy Literacy Practice Using Instagram Among Twelve Graders: Pragmastylistic Viewpoint

Abstract. The student’s communication in writing has a different style. It is interesting to be studied since it relate with literacy practice especially using technology. Thus, this current study was conducted explore the figurative language and discourse goals made by students their Instagram posts. This also describes strategy create an post as practice. use Qualitative method documentation interview instruments. Seventy-one posts were analyzed, 5 of who posted them interviewed. finding because only little student used clearly goal post. data shows that 16,9% Only found 3 languages are student, 7 sentences classified Metaphor, Simile Personification. Metaphor one types mostly result there study, they being humorous, protecting self, comparing similarities, showing positive emotion, guiding another action.
